Ocracoke Island has an assortment of places to stay, from old school motels to historic hotels and rustic lodges to stately inns, all independently owned/operated by local families. There are NO chain hotels/motels on the island. This is also a location limited by space, and as such, places tend to book quickly. Please secure your lodging ahead of time! On-island hotel overnight accommodations come with a myriad of amenities, including private pools, saunas, grills and picnic tables, refrigerators and Wi-Fi. Some offer private waterfront decks, others private docking. No hotel blocks are available, however the Anchorage Inn is the closest hotel to our venue (2 min walk). AirBnB & VRBO

There are only a handful of places to rent on AirBnB on the island, as a majority of places go through the local realty companies. If you'd like to utilize AirBnB, we recommend to book very early.

There are also options on VRBO that similarly go quickly, but offer more short term rentals than the realty companies may offer.

We do not recommend you book housing off of the island, as coordination of the ferries takes time and can be difficult for the day of the wedding.

Rental Cottages & Realties

Ocracoke Island has a wide variety of rental cottages and homes that are perfect for families and groups of friends who want to keep everyone under the same roof. Most are 2-3 bedrooms, fully furnished, and offer all the amenities of home. There are a few realty companies on the island who will help you find the perfect place. Check them out here:

Campground

The National Park Service offers year-round camping at Ocracoke Campground, with 136 sites located a few miles outside of Ocracoke village. The campground offers grills, flush toilets, drinking water, cold showers, and is pet-friendly. The soil is sandy, so tent-campers will need extra-long tent stakes. RVs under 40 feet are welcome at this campground. There's no electricity, but there is a nearby dump station. There is no shade at the campground. Mosquitoes are common, and insect spray is recommended. Open year round. This campground is just a short walk from the beach and makes a great base for all your island adventures. Reservations can be made in advance here.
